Job Description:
We are Omnissa!
Omnissa is the first AI-driven digital work platform, built to support flexible, secure, work-from anywhere experiences. We integrate industry-leading solutions—including Unified Endpoint Management, Virtual Apps and Desktops, Digital Employee Experience, and Security & Compliance—into a seamless, autonomous workspace that adapts to how people work. Our platform boosts employee engagement while optimizing IT operations, security, and cost.
Guided by our Core Values - Act in Alignment, Build Trust, Foster Inclusiveness, Drive Efficiency, and Maximize Customer Value - we’re growing rapidly and committed to delivering meaningful impact. If you're passionate about shaping the future of work, we’d love to hear from you.
At Omnissa, we are committed to maintaining a fair, consistent, and secure hiring process for all candidates. As part of this approach, we use standard interview and verification practices designed to ensure alignment and protect both candidates and the organization. These practices are applied thoughtfully and with respect for candidate privacy.
What is the opportunity?
As a Direct Tax Manager, you will own the direct tax accounting and related compliance for Omnissa’s international group, covering 20+ legal entities. You will also assist in standing up new global processes, including Pillar Two and CbC Reporting. This is great opportunity to get involved in influencing compliance processes at an early stage. The role involves collaborating with other Finance teams, external consultants and continuously working on process improvements for statutory and tax compliance. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual direct tax accruals, current and deferred tax provisions, and effective tax rate analysis for 20+ entities, predominantly international subsidiaries.
- Own the tax provision-to-return reconciliation and maintain supporting documentation for deferred tax balances, uncertain tax positions and valuation allowances.
- Assist on implementation for Pillar Two processes, including safe harbour testing, GloBE data collection, top-up tax modelling and readiness for GIR / local filing obligations.
- Support Country-by-Country Reporting and related notifications, ensuring consistency with statutory accounts, transfer pricing documentation and group reporting data.
- Manage the US R&D tax credit process end to end coordinating technical and financial input, and working with advisors to prepare and defend claims.
- Manage the direct tax compliance calendar across all international jurisdictions, ensuring returns, payments and elections are filed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with external advisors and outsourced providers on the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns.
- Support transfer pricing operations, including intercompany reconciliations and settlements, cost-plus reviews, and maintenance of intercompany agreements and local file documentation.
- Reconcile direct tax accounts and support month & quarter end close accruals and ARCS reconciliations.
- Manage notices, queries and audits from international and US tax authorities, and act as a primary point of contact for revenue authorities and advisors.
- Monitor legislative developments across the group footprint and assess the impact on the group’s tax position, accruals and processes.
- Partner with finance, legal, treasury and the wider global accounting team, and contribute to process design, automation and control improvements as the function scales.
- Support special projects, including entity rationalisation, restructuring and cross-border transactions, as assigned.
What will you bring to Omnissa?
- ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA and/or AITI (or equivalent) qualified.
- Post qualification experience in direct/corporate tax, gained in practice, industry, or a combination of both.
- Strong technical grounding in corporate tax accounting and the ability to prepare and review tax provisions under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Practical exposure to multinational group compliance and international tax concepts; familiarity with Pillar Two and Country-by-Country Reporting is a distinct advantage.
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing principles and intercompany transaction flows is desirable.
- Experience with R&D tax credit claims would be an advantage but not essential.
- Comfortable building processes where none currently exist, and able to move from technical analysis to practical implementation.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; experience with ERP and tax provision or reporting tools.
- Must be meticulous, detail oriented, organised and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams, including non-tax stakeholders.
- Ability to be flexible while working with time constraints and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical positions clearly to a non-specialist audience.
Location: Ballincollig, Cork Ireland
Location Type: Hybrid
