Working closely with Finance leaders, Product Owners, Project Managers, Enterprise Architecture, Data, Integrations and other IS teams, you will translate business priorities into secure, scalable and sustainable solutions that support 74Software’s transformation.

About the IS Business Systems Team

The 74Software Information Systems function provides shared, business-critical platforms and services across the Group. The Business Systems organisation partners with teams across Finance, HR, Procurement, Sales, Customer Support, R&D and Services to simplify processes, strengthen controls and enable data-driven operations.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead and develop an international team of business systems professionals focused on finance solutions, particularly Workday Finance.
  • Set clear objectives, establish priorities and create accountability for team and individual outcomes.
  • Coach team members, support professional development and promote knowledge sharing and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Delivery and Product Lifecycle Management

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of finance applications, from demand intake and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, support and optimisation.
  • Prioritise and plan team activities with Product Owners, Project Managers and business stakeholders.
  • Balance strategic initiatives, operational needs and technical debt to create realistic plans and dependable delivery commitments.
  • Ensure projects and enhancements are delivered on time, to the required quality and in line with agreed scope and governance.
  • Establish meaningful service, delivery and quality measures, and use them to improve team performance and stakeholder visibility.

Technical Excellence, Operations and Reliability

  • Promote robust configuration, testing, documentation and release-management practices across the finance systems landscape.
  • Maintain platform stability and service continuity, including effective incident, problem and change management.
  • Lead or support root-cause analysis for significant issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate repetitive work and improve user experience.
  • Maintain a transparent view of technical debt and agree remediation priorities with business and technical stakeholders.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted interface between Finance and IS, translating business needs into clear requirements, priorities and solution decisions.
  • Build effective relationships with Finance leaders, IS Business teams, Enterprise Architecture, Data, Integration, Security and external partners.
  • Communicate plans, risks, dependencies and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Resolve competing priorities constructively and create alignment across business and technology teams.

Governance, Security and Innovation

  • Ensure solutions comply with 74Software requirements for security, confidentiality, access control, data governance, auditability and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply enterprise architecture principles and IS governance to solution design, investment and lifecycle decisions.
  • Monitor technology and Workday product developments, assess their business value and recommend an appropriate roadmap.
  • Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled capabilities for Workday Finance in partnership with Architecture, Data and Integration teams.
  • Work with the relevant technical teams to establish reliable deployment, monitoring, operational support and lifecycle practices for AI and automation capabilities.
  • Manage relevant vendors and partners, including service quality, delivery expectations and commercial performance where applicable.

Qualifications

Required

  • Sound understanding of finance processes such as accounting, procurement, project accounting, planning, reporting or related controls.
  • Experience prioritising a portfolio of projects, enhancements, incidents and technical debt while managing delivery risks and dependencies.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders and translate between functional and technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS governance, integrations, data management, security, access controls, audit and compliance expectations.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and accountable leadership style.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred
