About Us
We are shaping a digital state - together with the administration. As a partner at eye level, we strengthen the administration on its way to driving its own digitalisation. With our own iterative product development and our commitment to better framework conditions, we create the basis for digital solutions that are scalable and effective.
About the Position
As an IT Administrator, you will join our three-person IT Workplace team to support around 300 colleagues both on-site at the office and remotely across Germany. In addition to support duties, you will also administer our SaaS tool stack and leverage your Jira expertise to best support our stakeholders' projects and workflows. Your focus will be on ensuring our delivery teams and internal business service units have the ideal setup to do their best work.
What You’ll Do
- End-User Support: Together with the rest of the IT team, you are the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring fast response times while proactively identifying user-centric opportunities to optimize our processes and setup.
- Jira & Service Desk Ownership: You take full ownership of our Jira and Jira Service Management (JSM) setup, collaborating closely with stakeholders to design custom workflows and automations that deliver real impact.
- Lifecycle & Identity Operations: You manage the entire user lifecycle for internal and external users (onboarding, access management, and offboarding) as well as the procurement and deployment of hardware and licenses—ensuring our environment remains secure at all times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Management: You serve as a bridge between our delivery teams and internal functions like Finance & Procurement, Compliance, and IT Security, while also managing day-to-day relations with our external service providers and vendors.
What You’re Bringing
- Comprehensive End-User Support and Admin Skills: Proven experience in 1st- and 2nd-level IT support across macOS and Windows environments, as well as in-depth knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and MDM solutions.
- Jira Expertise: Solid hands-on experience in administering Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and related products, along with experience partnering with stakeholders to design and manage projects.
- Familiarity with Scripting: Basic working knowledge of scripting languages (such as Bash or Python), or a strong willingness to learn.
- Nice to Haves: Hands-on experience with n8n or similar automation platforms, integrating AI tools into day-to-day IT operations, and administering or building workflows in Asana.
- Strong Service Orientation & Enablement Mindset: Excellent coordination skills across diverse teams, a sharp understanding of the service needs in a project-driven organization, and the agility to adapt to evolving IT requirements.
- Language Proficiency: Solid command of German (B1) and confident, fluent communication skills in English (C1 level), as both languages are used actively in our day-to-day work.
Why Join Our Team
- Join our team of 300 people, which works in an interdisciplinary and iterative manner – and is realising the vision of a digital state in collaboration with the Federal Administration.
- Work in the way that suits you best: you can organise your working hours flexibly, make use of our remote working options at any time, and choose your preferred operating system.
- The salary for this role ranges from 58,000 to 65,000 euros gross per year. When determining your individual placement within our salary bands and levels, we take into account the scope of responsibility of the role, the complexity of the tasks and the assessment of your skills from the initial interviews. You can find details of our level and salary system in our blog post "About level, money, and fairness: our new salary system".
- Urban Sports Club & more: Every month, you’ll receive a €50 voucher on top of your salary, which you can use however you like. Fitness, tech, transport or food – the choice is yours!
