You’ll be part of a growing IT Operations team where accurate asset data underpins effective decision-making, compliance, and cost control. Working closely with technical teams, service management, and key stakeholders, you’ll help ensure IT assets are well managed, visible, and delivering value throughout their lifecycle. The team values collaboration, continuous improvement, and attention to detail.
Location: Hybrid - Hatfield, Milton Keynes, Nottingham
Must be SC Cleared, or willingness to undertake
What you’ll do
- Monitor the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software assets, aligned to SACM best practices.
- Help ensure the CMDB is accurate, up-to-date and in compliance with organisational standards & regulatory requirements
- Perform asset tracking, inventory checks, and compliance reviews
- Produce regular reports on asset utilisation, cost, and compliance
- Identify and support cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Assist stakeholders with asset-related queries and support requests
- Support internal and external audits and compliance activities
- Assist with testing of ITAM tooling integrations and CMDB-related processes
What you’ll need
- Ability to obtain or hold UK Government Security Clearance
- 2+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management or a related role
- Experience with ITSM management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Remedy, Snow/Flexara)
- Good understanding of SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Management), IT asset lifecycle management (ITAM) and inventory best practices
- Awareness of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Desirable: Managed service experience, exposure to process improvement, ITIL/CMDB knowledge, and relevant certifications (ITIL 4, ServiceNow).
