As an IT Business Analyst specializing in HR Payroll, you will join Essity’s international HR technology organization and play an important role in supporting our SAP Payroll landscape.

Your primary focus will be Germany, while you may also contribute to payroll solutions across other supported countries. Working closely with payroll colleagues, IT teams and external SAP specialists, you will help ensure issues and requests are understood, analyzed and resolved effectively.

We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we’d love to talk.

What you will do:

  • Payroll Application Support: Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for SAP HR Payroll, with a primary focus on the German payroll environment.
  • Incident & Request Management: Analyze and coordinate payroll-related incidents and service requests, identifying root causes and supporting timely resolution through the ticketing process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with payroll teams to understand requirements, priorities and business-critical issues, providing clear updates throughout the resolution process.
  • SAP Solution Support: Analyze SAP Payroll configuration and system behavior, supporting adjustments, testing and implementation activities together with internal and external specialists.
  • Systems Integration: Investigate and help resolve employee-data integration issues between Workday and SAP, considering dependencies and downstream impacts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review requirements and existing solutions, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to effective, sustainable HR technology solutions.
  • International Support: Collaborate with colleagues across countries and functions, contributing SAP Payroll expertise where team priorities require support.
  • Broaden Your Expertise: While your main focus will be SAP Payroll, you will have the opportunity to step into other areas within the team and expand your HR technology knowledge, including Time Management (Interflex, UKG) and Travel & Expense (Concur).

  • You have relevant payroll experience, ideally combining payroll knowledge with SAP HR Payroll, HR technology or application-support experience.
  • You have practical knowledge of SAP HR/SAP HCM Payroll and understand how payroll systems work beyond operational processing. Experience with Workday-to-SAP integrations, ticketing tools, SAP authorizations or German payroll is an advantage.
  • You are an analytical and structured problem-solver who thinks holistically, communicates clearly and builds trust with stakeholders. You enjoy collaborating across teams and remain composed when resolving time-critical payroll issues.
  • Fluent in English & German- All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
