  • DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee)

The Impact You Will Have in This Role

DTCC is moving more of the firm's workloads to public cloud, and keeping that spend visible, accountable, and efficient is a priority for leadership. The AWS Platform FinOps squad drives results aligned with budgets, forecasts, and commitment strategy results by analyzing cost and usage, finding savings, and working with application teams to act on them.

As a Cloud FinOps Senior Analyst, you will support analysis, dashboards, reporting, and optimization requests across our AWS environment, with growing exposure to Azure. You will work with CloudAware, Excel, and Power BI to help teams understand what they spend and why. This is a great fit for an early-career analyst who enjoys data, wants to learn cloud, and likes seeing their work lead to real cost savings.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce weekly dashboards and monthly cost reports for cloud spend across AWS and Azure
  • Analyze cost and usage data to spot trends, anomalies, and budget variances, and help explain the drivers
  • Identify rightsizing, cleanup, and idle resource opportunities using CloudAware and native cloud cost tools
  • Create and track optimization requests and tickets, and follow up with application teams through remediation
  • Help validate savings after changes are made and keep savings tracking current
  • Maintain CloudAware reports and data exports to Excel and Power BI, checking data quality along the way
  • Support resource tagging and cost allocation efforts so spend can be tied to the right owners
  • Prepare data and materials for recurring stakeholder meetings and leadership updates
  • Help document repeatable processes and playbooks, and suggest ways to automate manual work
  • Partner with FinOps, Finance, and engineering teams on billing questions and investigations
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately

NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling); Power BI or similar BI tool experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of public cloud concepts (compute, storage, pricing models); AWS or Azure exposure preferred
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining numbers to non-financial audiences
  • Organized and able to track multiple requests and follow through to closure
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and cloud services
  • Nice to have: FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Azure Fundamentals; experience with CloudAware, AWS Cost Explorer, or Azure Cost Management; basic SQL or Python
