Role Description The IT Governance & Compliance Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Luxembourg, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT governance frameworks that align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client business objectives. Day-to-day tasks include assessing existing IT processes and controls, performing compliance and risk assessments, and recommending improvements to IT policies, procedures, and service management practices. The consultant collaborates closely with stakeholders across technology, security, and business functions to ensure effective governance, clear accountability, and robust reporting. The role also involves preparing documentation and audit-ready evidence, supporting regulatory alignment (e.g., DORA), and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across iconnect’s transformation projects.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in IT Governance and Information Technology, with experience implementing frameworks and aligning IT with business strategy.
  • Proficiency in Information Security and related standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), ensuring secure and compliant IT environments.
  • Experience with IT Service Management practices (e.g., ITIL), including incident, change, and service level management.
  • Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting complex regulatory requirements, assessing risks, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory alignment in cloud and technology environments, preferably including EU regulations such as DORA.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to produce concise governance documentation, policies, and reports.
  • Proven experience in consulting, transformation projects, or similar client-facing roles is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
