Show job description

Ford is seeking an experienced LL4 IT Leader to partner with HR, the business owner of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud, while leading IT strategy, delivery, and operational excellence for the platform and related technology services. This role sits at the intersection of technology and HR leadership, translating business priorities—such as talent management, workforce planning, compensation, payroll, and employee experience—into scalable, secure, and reliable IT solutions. The leader will manage a team of analysts, engineers, and vendor partners while acting as a trusted advisor to senior HR stakeholders, ensuring Oracle HCM and adjacent systems enable Ford's people strategy and digital transformation goals.

You Will...

Technology Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary ET liaison to Ford's HR Leadership Team, translating strategic HR initiatives (talent, total rewards, workforce planning, DEI, employee experience) into technology roadmaps.
  • Serve as the IT Partner with HR business leaders, Finance, Legal, and Global Data Privacy teams to align Oracle HCM capabilities with enterprise HR strategy and compliance requirements.
  • Represent IT in HR transformation programs, contributing technology point of view to process redesign and change management efforts.

Oracle HCM Platform Ownership

  • Manage the end-to-end technical aspects and infrastructure of Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, Talent Management, Compensation, Absence Management, Payroll interfaces, Workforce Compensation, Recruiting/ORC, Learning, etc.), including configuration, quarterly releases, patches, and enhancements.
  • Lead system integrations between Oracle HCM and other enterprise platforms (payroll providers, benefits administration, identity/access management, SAP, data warehouses, and third-party HR tools) via OIC, APIs, and middleware.
  • Ensure platform scalability, data integrity, security, and compliance with global labor, privacy, and audit regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HCM analysts, developers, and offshore/onshore vendor resources; set performance goals aligned with Ford's leadership behaviors and IT delivery standards.
  • Support HR’s ownership of the Oracle relationship as the IT stakeholder, and manage IT service provider relationships related to implementation, support, SLAs, and service quality.

  • Build technical capability and succession depth within the team; foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Delivery & Operations

  • Drive Agile/hybrid delivery of enhancements, projects, and break-fix support, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with measurable business value.
  • Own production stability: incident management, root-cause analysis, release testing, and continuous improvement of HCM operations.
  • Manage the annual IT budget and multi-year investment plan for the HCM platform, including business case development for new capabilities.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Ford's IT governance, cybersecurity, and data protection standards across all HCM system changes.
  • Lead audit readiness and support internal/external audits related to HR data and systems.
  • Maintain documentation, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity protocols for critical HR systems.

You'll Have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Human Resources, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 4+ years hands-on with Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) implementation, configuration, or support.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing IT teams and/or vendor resources.
  • Strong understanding of core HR processes (hire-to-retire, talent, compensation, payroll interfaces) and how technology enables them.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with senior HR/business stakeholders and translating strategy into technical roadmaps.
  • Experience with system integrations (OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware) and enterprise data management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and multi-workstream project portfolios.
  • Strong communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
