Administering all systems and related MIS runs in an efficient and timely manner such that it conforms to the requirements of Central Bank and Bank’s Policies and procedures.
Coordinate and execute Disaster Recovery Process, testing and compliance in the event of real disaster.
Ensure branch network, firewall, intrusion detection standards and compliance.
Ensure that Network Interface between different financial networks / Central Bank are up and running.
Monitor and ensure system backups are taken in a timely manner.
Coordinate with users and vendors for testing and implementation of new systems and provide necessary support.
Review Regulatory examiners/ HO & IA audit exceptions, responding where appropriate and taking corrective action to mitigate exceptions.
Ensure system versions are maintained and updated regularly.
Provide off-hours support to financial systems.
- Administer and trouble shoot different financial applications.
- Monitor systems for proper online mirroring and End of day data backup restore.
- Ensure regular, timely and automatic uploading of files received into relevant systems and confirming it to Compliance Dept
- Administer network security, intrusion.
- Coordinate in enhancements (sent by MIT or local vendor) before implementation in live environment
- Execute disaster recovery testing to ensure compliance in case of real disaster.
- Provide software support to the Branch personnel.
- To perform day to day activities of the application(s) being run in the Branch.
- Ensure that start of day, end of day, end of month, half yearly and yearly processing have been conducted successfully.
- To ensure that daily back up before and after each end of day processing is taken without error(s) of all server based application, and the back up is kept in safe custody at off site locations.
- To ensure that the entire computer generated reports have been printed successfully and distributed accordingly.
- To ensure that maintenance agreement is in place for all computer hardware & software and inform superiors in case of any error.
- Proper operating environment is provided for safe operation of computer equipment.
- Provide adequate and effective control, security and back up for all programs and data files.
- Ensure integrity and correctness of data. Take remedial measures in case of any discrepancies/short comings.
- Coordinate for systems modification and/or enhancements.
- Ensure service delivery levels do not suffer on account of system break down
- The position requires a minimum of 5 years experience including at least 3 years in banking environment.
- Strong inter-personnel, communication, analytical and organizational skills required.
- Should have the ability to understand Banking Applications so as to successfully implement the same.
