Working Hours: 8 Hours per day. 40 Hours per week

Description

Client is looking for an Intermediate IT Project Controller to join its IT project-controls team. This role supports senior controllers while independently managing project-controller responsibilities for an assigned IT portfolio. The position serves as a flexible, intermediate resource designed to float across assignments and collaborate closely with senior controllers, Project Managers, and Delivery Managers.

This role will focus on IT infrastructure projects—such as network upgrades and data-center projects. The right candidate brings direct project-controls experience and sufficient technology/infrastructure context to understand complex project nuances without requiring foundational training on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own project-controller responsibilities for an assigned IT portfolio, including budget management, forecasting, commitments, project monitoring, financial analysis, and monthly financial reporting.
• Support routine requisitioning and purchase-order activity across project environments.
• Support the broader IT project-controls team as an intermediate resource, floating across assignments and working closely with senior controllers.
• Collaborate directly with Project Managers and Delivery Managers to monitor and analyze project health and financial progress.
• Utilize heavy SAP functionality (specifically the Project System / PS module) for project controls and project administration.
• Communicate concrete project metrics, scale, personal controls, and financial impact clearly to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of professional project-controls experience (target level is junior-to-intermediate/intermediate).
• Relevant project-controls experience with direct responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, commitments, project monitoring, financial analysis, or monthly reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on routine project-control responsibilities while collaborating effectively with senior controllers.
• Proven experience working directly with project stakeholders, particularly Project Managers and/or Delivery Managers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior IT project or IT infrastructure experience, particularly network upgrades, data centers, or comparable infrastructure programs.
• Hands-on SAP experience, specifically SAP PS (Project System) module.
• Experience with requisitioning and purchase orders within project environments.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to explain the scale, personal control, and impact of past projects supported.
