Your Key Accountabilities
- Drive AI adoption and business transformation across Umicore by identifying, prioritizing and implementing high-value AI initiatives aligned with business objectives and the CORE strategy.
- Partner with business leaders and functional teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve operational efficiency, generate business value and support strategic growth.
- Own and deliver assigned AI projects, use cases and roadmaps within selected EF Enterprise Function, ensuring measurable business outcomes and value realization.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional AI initiatives from concept through deployment, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Support AI solution design, development and implementation activities, including data preparation, model evaluation, deployment planning and continuous improvement.
- Ensure AI solutions are scalable, compliant with governance requirements and aligned with responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Promote AI literacy across the organization through training, workshops, stakeholder engagement and change management activities.
- Contribute to the IgnAIte AI Watchtower by monitoring AI market trends, emerging technologies and industry developments, assessing their relevance and potential business impact for Umicore.
- Contribute to the AI Radar by tracking AI deployments, use cases and innovation opportunities across Umicore.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, Digitalization, IS, BIT, CRD, Legal, Communications teams, vendors and external AI partners.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record of delivering business value through AI, automation, analytics or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify, quantify and communicate the impact of AI on business outcomes.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and engaging senior stakeholders in a global organization.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, predictive analytics, automation technologies and commercial AI platforms.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, AI readiness and responsible AI principles.
- Experience in change management, user adoption and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, risk management and ethical AI deployment.
- Self-driven, collaborative and results-oriented professional with a passion for innovation and practical AI adoption.
- Be able to work 3 days from Hobboken office, 2 days remote .
