Various business units see the value of AI and want to get started with concrete innovation and AI projects. In order to streamline all these initiatives in a structured way, prioritize them and successfully guide them to production, we are looking for a strong IT

Project Manager.

• In this role, you are the bridge figure between the various business units, the IT department and the technical experts (such as Data/AI Engineers and Solution Architects). You will manage various IT projects with a clear AI component and ensure that ideas are converted into feasible, safe and valuable solutions for the organization.

Your responsibilities

• Project management from A to Z: You take the lead in the scoping, planning, budgeting and roll-out of various IT and AI-related projects across different business units.
• Demand Management & Governance: You will help validate, prioritize and structure new AI requests and ideas from the organization.
• Stakeholder Management: You act as a strategic sparring partner for both technical teams and non-technical business owners. You translate business needs into clear IT project goals.
• Management & Coordination: You manage multidisciplinary project teams (engineers, analysts, suppliers) and monitor deliverables, timing and quality.
• Change & Adoption: You ensure a smooth transfer to the workplace and support the organization in sustainably embracing new digital and AI applications.
• Quality & Control: You are alert to aspects such as data quality, security, ethics/governance and the feasibility of the chosen technologies.

Your profile

• Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager in a complex, multidisciplinary business environment.
• Affinity with AI: You don't have to program AI models yourself, but you do understand how AI, Machine Learning, and AI agents work at their core. You know the difference between conceptual opportunities and the practical (IT) reality to get this into production.
• Methodology: Extensive experience with Agile/Scrum and/or classic project management methodologies (Prince2, PMBOK).
• Communication & Impact: Excellent communication skills. You are strong in managing expectations, building bridges between IT and Business and creating support.
• Collaboration: A pragmatic, enterprising and result-oriented attitude. You move smoothly in a dynamic, international and ever-changing research and technology environment.
• Languages: Excellent command of English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
