We’re hiring: IT Project Manager & Business Analyst, Insurance (Lisbon)

Did you start your career as a Business Analyst in insurance and grow into a Project Manager who owns the outcome from start to finish? Then this role is for you.

Lisbon, hybrid (3 days/week on-site)

10+ years of experience

Portuguese (essential) and English (C1 minimum)

This is not a typical PM role. Our client, a company in the insurance sector, needs one person to own the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to delivery. No hand-off between BA and PM: you do both. You’ll sit at the table with directors, challenge scope, define requirements and keep projects on track. If something doesn’t make sense, you say so. If it’s out of scope, you call it.

What you’ll do

• Own projects end to end, from requirements definition to delivery and closure
• Work directly with business areas to elicit, document and challenge requirements
• Manage 3–4 projects in parallel, or one major initiative
• Lead stakeholder and change management at all levels, including executives
• Deliver executive presentations and status updates
• Manage timelines, change requests, risks and issues
• Bridge business stakeholders and IT delivery teams

What we’re looking for

• 7–10+ years in IT project management and business analysis
• Insurance industry background, deep enough to understand the business and challenge assumptions
• Experience in large multinational companies
• Proven track record of delivering projects end to end, independently
• Strong executive communication, and confident pushing back on senior stakeholders
• Highly organised and structured
• Fluent Portuguese and English

Nice to have: experience combining the PM and BA roles, and working in lean teams where wearing multiple hats is normal.
