IT Risk Consultant – Financial Services | Consulting | Brussels | Projective Group | Do you enjoy assessing IT risks, strengthening control frameworks and helping organisations stay secure, resilient and compliant? Join our Risk & Compliance team as an IT Risk Consultant and help financial institutions strengthen their security, governance, control and resilience frameworks. You will support clients in managing technology and operational risks, improving resilience and addressing third-party risk topics in line with regulatory requirements. We deliver complex transformation programmes while retaining the entrepreneurial culture that empowers our consultants to make a genuine impact. 5+ years of experience in IT Risk Management, Information Security, Operational Risk, Governance, Compliance, or a related role within the financial services sector. Fluency in English and Dutch or French. Experience with risk assessments, governance frameworks, internal controls and risk management processes. Familiarity with DORA, EBA outsourcing guidelines and other relevant regulatory frameworks within the financial services sector. Excellent understanding of IT risk, information security, governance, operational resilience and control frameworks. Experience with outsourcing, vendor risk management and/or Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) is considered an asset. Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, COBIT and ITIL; certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM or CISSP are an asset. Your key responsibilities: Conduct gap analyses and advise clients on DORA, EBA/ESMA guidelines and other regulatory requirements. Perform IT risk assessments across systems, processes, controls and governance frameworks. Design and improve risk management, governance, control and operational resilience frameworks. Develop and review policies, procedures, risk appetite statements and governance models. Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of technology, operational and IT-related risks. Assess outsourcing and third-party arrangements, including vendor due diligence and risk reviews. Support clients during regulatory inspections, audits and remediation programmes, and deliver workshops on IT risk, resilience and governance topics.
