IT SUPPORT & MONITORING (MAINFRAME)
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced IT Support and Monitoring to ensure the operational stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical business applications within a complex banking environment. You will play a key role in supporting application production activities, managing technical incidents, coordinating releases, monitoring batch processes, and contributing to the optimization of technical and functional application components. This position is not a software development role but rather a highly technical IT Support and IT Monitoring function within a Mainframe environment.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Provide technical and functional support to users and business stakeholders.

• Monitor application environments, batch processes, file transfers, and production activities to ensure service continuity.

• Analyze and resolve technical issues, incidents, and application performance problems.

• Coordinate software deployments, migrations, and releases across multiple environments.

• Execute environment management activities, including opening/closing environments, data refreshes, file recoveries, and production support tasks.

• Maintain and enrich application documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.

• Manage functional change requests and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, production, planning, and database teams to ensure smooth application operations.

• Perform technical integration activities and support application lifecycle management.

• Monitor service quality proactively and implement preventive measures to improve user experience.

Your Key Skills

• Strong expertise in Application Production Support and IT Operations.

• Solid experience in Mainframe environments and production monitoring activities.

• Ability to analyze incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and identify root causes.

• Experience coordinating releases, deployments, migrations, and environment management activities.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and global teams.

• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and service quality.

• High level of autonomy, ownership, and attention to detail.

• Good understanding of SDLC processes and application lifecycle management.

Your Main Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in technical support, application support, or production support environments.

• Experience working within the banking or financial services sector is considered a plus.

• Prior experience in technical analysis and application support environments.

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe IBM z/OS, TSO, COBOL, CICS, JCL, SPUFI, SQL, Scheduler OPC, and DB2.

• Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting and SQL/Oracle environments.

• Familiarity with file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, MQ, and CFT.

• Knowledge of Endevor, VSAM, IDMS, REXX, C++, and MQ Series will be valued.

• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
