IT Support Technician I

Job Description VG Systems, LLC is seeking an entry-level part-time IT Support Technician to provide hybrid, on-call IT support to internal teams. This role is a 1099 contractor position and does not require HUBZone residency. This is a very small engagement, averaging less than 3 hours per week at $20/hour, estimated at approximately 5 hours per month with no set schedule. The candidate must be available on-call as needed and will support a single client with straightforward Tier 1 issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide Tier 1 technical support for end users (remote and on-site). Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues. Assist with workstation setup, configuration, and maintenance. Support user account creation, access permissions, and basic system administration. Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and support activity. Possible assist with basic system updates, patches, and security monitoring. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Requirements: Knowledge of Apple Business Manager. Experience with Microsoft 365. Familiarity with Microsoft Surface hardware. Familiarity with Apple hardware. Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Effective communication skills and customer service mindset. Highly dependable and trustworthy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working as a 1099 contractor. Able to work approximately 5 hours per month and/or on-call as needed.
