Duties and Responsibilities

  • Systems, Cloud & Identity Administration
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, services, resource configurations, monitoring, access controls, and operational standards.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Microsoft Entra ID, based on assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificates, file services, and related enterprise infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, availability, security, and performance; proactively address risks and recurring issues.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, lifecycle replacements, configuration changes, and decommissioning activities through approved change processes.
  • Network & Multi-Site Infrastructure Support
  • Administer and maintain Cisco Meraki switches, wireless access points, MX security appliances, VPN connectivity, and branch network services.
  • Support WAN, internet, wireless, firewall, and remote-access connectivity in coordination with internal teams, ISPs, and service providers.
  • Lead the technical execution of branch openings, relocations, expansions, closures, acquisitions, and infrastructure refreshes.
  • Coordinate low-voltage cabling, structured wiring, telecommunications, camera and surveillance, and related physical technology deployments.
  • Validate implementation quality, documentation, labeling, standards compliance, and operational turnover for site projects.
  • Infrastructure Project Ownership & Vendor Coordination
  • Plan and execute assigned infrastructure projects from scope definition through implementation, validation, documentation, and operational handoff.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, equipment requirements, implementation steps, rollback procedures, risks, and status updates.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, ISPs, low-voltage providers, security integrators, and hardware or service partners throughout project and operational lifecycles.
  • Monitor vendor commitments, installation quality, deliverables, schedules, escalations, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain organized records of vendor contacts, circuits, warranties, support agreements, project timelines, and site-specific requirements.
  • Advanced Technical Support & Problem Management
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues involving infrastructure, cloud services, identity, networking, hardware, software, and end-user systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, coordinate cross-team response, and restore services with appropriate urgency and communication.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring or significant incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create knowledge articles, troubleshooting procedures, technical runbooks, and support documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to service desk, field support, and other IT team members.
  • Security, Change Management & Documentation
  • Apply infrastructure security standards, least-privilege principles, system hardening practices, and approved configuration baselines.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, security investigations, audit requests, access reviews, and infrastructure-related incident response.
  • Ensure technical changes are documented, reviewed, tested, approved, implemented, and validated in accordance with change management requirements.
  • Maintain accurate system diagrams, configuration records, inventories, procedures, credentials in approved vaults, and operational documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repeatable administrative tasks using PowerShell or other approved tools.

In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure administration, cloud operations, or a closely related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, and security appliances.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity and access administration.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or branch environments and coordinating infrastructure

deployments.

  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, ISPs, and technical service providers.
  • Demonstrated Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting skills across systems, networking, cloud services, and end-user technologies.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, planned changes, and operational incidents concurrently.
  • Ability to travel to branch or project locations as business needs require.

management.

  • Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune

administration.

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and file

services.

  • Cisco Meraki switching, wireless, MX appliances, VPN, firewall, and network

troubleshooting.

  • Endpoint management, infrastructure monitoring, patching, backup, recovery, and security tooling.
  • PowerShell scripting and task automation.
  • Low-voltage cabling, structured wiring, CCTV, IP camera, and physical technology deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and practical experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Linux administration and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Security certification.
  • Cisco CCNA or relevant Cisco Meraki certification.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification.

Education/Experience

Education Requirements :Preferred 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Years of Experience: 5 Years or more years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure administration, cloud operations, or a closely related

technical role.

Work Environment: Office Setting

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, monitoring, security, and continuous improvement of Gemaire Distributors' infrastructure, cloud services, branch technology environments, and enterprise systems. This role serves as a hands-on technical resource for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, identity services, Cisco Meraki infrastructure, branch deployments, advanced troubleshooting, operational documentation, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, and able to balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with end-to-end project ownership in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
