About the Opportunity

The organization is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator located in the United States to serve as the hands-on operator of the day-to-day IT environment. In this individual-contributor role with no people management, the administrator supports approximately 230 team members across macOS and Windows, executes onboarding and offboarding, administers the SaaS stack, and maintains accurate, secure devices, licenses, and assets in a remote, fast-moving setting. Operating from priorities, standards, and runbooks set by the IT Operations Lead, this position resolves Tier 2 escalations independently and continually enhances support delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work the Jira Service Management queue, meet SLAs, resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues across macOS and Windows, and escalate identity, security, and architecture issues to the IT Operations Lead with clear context.
  • Handle daily administration of Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Atlassian user access, and the password manager, including users, groups, licenses, shared resources, and access requests.
  • Address common account and Microsoft 365 issues, including account lockouts, MFA problems, VPN and Teams issues, and SharePoint and OneDrive file recovery, escalating only when runbooks do not provide coverage.
  • Perform identity and access management tasks, including MFA resets and enrollments, group and role assignments, and routine Entra and SSO user administration within established policies.
  • Fulfill application access, license, and shared mailbox requests from the standard-access catalog, assign AI tool seats and quotas within policy, and route exceptions or new-tool requests to leadership.
  • Operate the endpoint fleet using Intune, Jamf, and Datto RMM, covering device enrollment and provisioning, application packaging and deployment, patch compliance, compliance remediation, and hardware refresh cycles.
  • Deliver consistent onboarding setup and clean, auditable offboarding, including device collection, access removal, and license reclamation.
  • Monitor Power Automate onboarding and offboarding workflows, resolve routine failures using runbooks, and escalate complex flow issues to the IT Operations Lead.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory, warranties, assignments, and disposal records while coordinating equipment shipping and returns for a distributed workforce.
  • Produce device inventory and compliance reports from Intune, Jamf, and Datto RMM for leadership, audits, and renewals, while gathering user and access review exports and verifying compliance for SOC 2 and CMMC requirements.
  • Script routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate onboarding, offboarding, and reporting processes.
  • Author and maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and self-service how-to guides for team members and end users.
  • Provision and maintain lab devices and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) user setups for Engineering under the direction of the IT Operations Lead.
  • Track software license counts and renewal dates, assisting with vendor management and procurement tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations, including Tier 2 support experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting both macOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Practical administration experience with Microsoft 365 and at least some of Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
  • Working administrative experience with Microsoft Entra ID user and group administration, single sign-on (SSO), and multifactor authentication (MFA).
  • Hands-on experience with mobile device management (MDM) or remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or Datto RMM.
  • Scripting capability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for routine automation tasks.
  • Experience with ticketing and service management tools, alongside familiarity with ITIL fundamentals.
  • Clear communication skills paired with a service-oriented, accountable approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft MD-102 or MS-102, Jamf 200, or CompTIA certifications.
  • Experience utilizing Jira Service Management.
  • Experience with Auth0 or other SSO and identity providers.
  • Experience gathering audit evidence in SOC 2, CMMC, or ISO 27001 environments.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance plans.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Discretionary paid time off.
  • Global equity participation opportunities.
