We are now looking for an ITP Travel Expenses Specialist to join our energetic and customer-oriented team working for a better future. Location of this position is Gdańsk, Poland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.
 

Your role and responsibilities 

What you'll be responsible for:

• Travel Expenses related tasks, according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines, and requirements
• Verifying that VAT deductions are made correctly and correct expense type is selected
• Verifying that all required documents are attached to the expense reports
• Supporting local Travel contact persons, other internal and external partners and providing help for travellers
• Making sure that expense reports are verified according to agreed timeline and thereby ready for payment in time
• Communication with stakeholders, answering end users' questions related to process or tool
• Ensuring proper and updated documentation of the working instructions and relevant materials
• Improving the travel expense process by effective and active teamwork
• Training and coaching of new employees, acting as back up

Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:

• Experience in travel expense processing
• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Understanding of Travel expenses end-to-end process
• Understanding of financial accounting and Finance processes

• Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
• Fluent English, with other languages seen as advantage
• Proactive, organized, and solution-focused approach
• Passion for learning and continuous improvement

• Knowledge of SAP Concur and ServiceNow is an advantage
