Java Developer

Recently, in order to facilitate our increasing number of customers, we have decided to expand our operation and open a tech office in Iasi, Romania. Your role

We are looking for an experienced Java developer to join our team in Iasi.

You already have a few years of experience as a software engineer and are ready for the next step: broadening your skills. At Itility, you get that opportunity. You enjoy building modern, scalable applications that add immediate value for our clients. You are proficient in Java and building microservices. You enjoy switching between different technologies and continuously expanding your knowledge. In addition to programming, you actively contribute to architectural and design decisions, and work closely with colleagues from various disciplines and with our clients. This allows you to continuously learn, gain insight into the entire chain, and develop into an all-round engineer who can make a difference in diverse environments.

What you are going to do

• Developing and optimizing back-end functionality in Java

• Developing and optimizing front-end functionality in Angular / React.js

• Contributing ideas regarding software architecture and technical choices

• Writing and executing unit and integration tests

• Maintaining and further developing existing applications

• Experience with setting out your own CI/CD pipelines and deploying application on prem or into the Cloud

This is you

Naturally, you are committed, driven, and enjoy working in a world that is constantly changing. To do that successfully, you need:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer

• Experience in working with the following technologies:

  • Java (21) - Spring Boot

  • Docker

  • Docker compose

  • REST API - RPM packaging

  • K8s

  • Apache Kafka

  • Oracle/Postgres db

  • CI/CD pipelines (eg. Jenkins)

• Understanding microservices and software architecture principles

• Good English communication skills

• A hands-on mentality and the drive to continuously learn and develop yourself
