About The Role
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our remote development team within the states of DC, FL, GA, MD, TX, or VA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level Java applications. You will collaborate closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, well-tested code. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java programming, experienced with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks, and comfortable working in an Agile environment. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while contributing effectively to team efforts. You will also participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues to ensure application reliability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional Java development experience.
- Proficiency with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
- Experience writing SQL and working with relational databases such as Oracle or Db2.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience using build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Experience with common office equipment including computers, phones, scanners, and printers.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts.

- Develop, test, and maintain Java application code to meet business requirements.
- Build and update web services and RESTful APIs.
- Write efficient SQL queries and interact with relational databases.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and production issues promptly.
- Create and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain coding standards and share knowledge.
- Document code changes and technical specifications clearly and comprehensively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $68,216 to $75,795.
