You will help design, build, and evolve APIs and microservices from inception through production, contributing to modern backend architectures and cloud-native development practices. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building systems from scratch, collaborating in international environments, and working with modern Java ecosystems. What you’ll do Design and develop APIs and backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot Contribute to a greenfield platform from early stages through production deployment Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in an agile environment Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows Contribute to API definition and documentation standards Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution design Help improve engineering practices and delivery quality What we’re looking for +5 years of professional experience in backend development Strong hands-on experience with: Java 17 / 21 Spring Boot 3.x / 4.x Advanced knowledge of: Git REST APIs OpenAPI Experience working with: Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions CI/CD practices Developer-level understanding of AI prompting concepts Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams Curiosity, ownership mindset, and proactive problem-solving attitude English level C1 or higher – mandatory Nice to have AWS experience Experience with AI Agent coding or AI-assisted development tools Experience building greenfield products or platforms Work model Hybrid model available in: Madrid Barcelona Málaga Logroño Remote from other locations within Spain 💡 Note We are looking for engineers who enjoy building products from the ground up and are comfortable working in collaborative, fast-moving, international environments.
