## About the Role

ITech Consult AG is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to support the development of real-time data transmission systems. The role focuses on backend development using Java and Spring Boot, with Kafka, SQL, and REST as key technologies.

You will contribute to architecture and solution design, develop high-performance applications, identify optimization opportunities, and help maintain strong standards for performance, maintainability, and automated quality assurance.

## Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to software design and architecture decisions with key stakeholders.

* Develop high-performance backend applications.

* Independently implement solutions and share technical learnings with the team.

* Identify optimization opportunities and proactively drive improvements.

* Consider and improve code and application performance throughout development.

* Develop and maintain applications using Scrum methodologies.

* Share knowledge and support junior developers.

* Contribute to distributed application development and real-time data transmission systems.

## Required Qualifications

* Completed degree in Computer Science from a university or university of applied sciences, or equivalent qualification.

* At least 10 years of professional software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.

* At least 3 years of experience with Kafka, SQL, and REST.

* Strong knowledge of designing and developing distributed applications.

* Experience with unit and integration testing.

* Experience with GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Citrus.

* Strong understanding of software architecture, maintainability, performance, and automated quality assurance.

* Broad experience in the FinTech and financial services industry.

* Very good German and good English language skills.
