Job Description – Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Montreal, QC, Canada

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases.

The candidate will be responsible for developing robust backend services and responsive frontend applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

7+ years of hands-on software development experience.

Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

Experience developing enterprise applications using microservices architecture.

Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Experience with distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.

Knowledge of cloud-native and serverless architectures.

Experience with AI/LLM integration in enterprise applications.

Familiarity with performance optimization and application security.

Experience working in banking or financial services environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.

Build responsive frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

Work with relational databases to design, optimize, and maintain data models.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA, and other developers.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.

Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance.

Follow Agile development practices and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.

Important Client Requirements

Must be available to work onsite in Montreal 3 days per week.

Must be willing to attend a mandatory in-person interview in Montreal.

Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and Angular experience is essential.
