Role Overview
As a Next.js Developer at CodingIT, you will own the development and continuous improvement of high-performing websites and digital experiences built primarily with Next.js and TypeScript. The role combines hands-on engineering with close collaboration with marketing, design, and business stakeholders.
You will work independently alongside the Marketing team or under the supervision of a Digital Experience Manager. We are looking for a self-sufficient, proactive, and dynamic developer who can translate business and marketing needs into reliable technical solutions, manage priorities with limited supervision, and take ownership from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
Experience building and maintaining e-commerce websites and working with CMS platforms such as Webflow or WordPress is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve websites and digital experiences using Next.js and TypeScript.
- Apply modern Next.js patterns, including the App Router, server and client components, data fetching, caching, and appropriate rendering strategies.
- Build reusable, responsive, and accessible user interfaces that accurately implement approved designs and support consistent brand experiences.
- Develop and maintain e-commerce experiences, including product catalogs, landing pages, forms, checkout-related flows, and third-party integrations.
- Work autonomously with Marketing stakeholders or a Digital Experience Manager to clarify requirements, propose solutions, prioritize work, and deliver outcomes.
- Own technical SEO, page performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement and maintain analytics, tag management, conversion tracking, marketing forms, and related integrations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services, including CRM, e-commerce, payment, search, and content platforms.
- Manage deployments, environment configuration, CI/CD workflows, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and technical documentation.
Qualifications
Must-Have- Strong professional experience developing production applications with TypeScript.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Next.js and its modern application architecture.
- Solid React.js fundamentals and experience building reusable component-based interfaces.
- Experience building, maintaining, or optimizing e-commerce websites and customer-facing digital experiences.
- Hands-on experience integrating Shopify storefronts and Stripe payment flows, including APIs, webhooks, checkout, and payment lifecycle handling.
- Practical experience working with Webflow or WordPress, including CMS content models, publishing workflows, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, web performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, identify risks, and drive tasks to completion with limited supervision.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Nice-to-Have- Experience with headless CMS architectures or platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, or headless WordPress.
- Experience deploying and operating Next.js applications on Vercel or other cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, or other modern design systems and component libraries.
- Experience with analytics and marketing tooling such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, conversion pixels, or experimentation platforms.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience with CMS or e-commerce migrations while preserving URLs, metadata, redirects, and organic search performance.
- Experience building lightweight backend functionality with Node.js or Next.js route handlers and server actions.
- Exposure to observability, error tracking, and performance monitoring tools.
