About the Role
Support Services Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network & Security Administrator to join our Network & Security team in a fast-paced BPO environment.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our global enterprise network, troubleshoot connectivity issues, assist with firewall and switching operations, and help maintain the security, stability, and reliability of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents, including connectivity issues, performance degradation, and application access failures.
- Perform root-cause analysis and document findings for recurring incidents.
- Assist in maintaining stable and highly available network services across multiple global sites.
Monitoring & Observability
- Monitor network devices, applications, and infrastructure health using the SolarWinds Observability Platform.
- Respond to alerts and take corrective action as needed.
- Review monitoring dashboards to identify potential risks or developing issues.
Firewall & Security Operations
- Assist with the management and maintenance of Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including software upgrades and configuration changes.
- Assist with firewall rule creation, optimization, and maintenance of security policies.
- Support the onboarding of new user groups and implementation of segmented security policies based on business requirements.
- Maintain visibility and governance over sanctioned and unsanctioned applications across departments.
Switching & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Perform software upgrades and basic configuration changes on Cisco switches across offices and data centers.
- Assist with VLAN assignments and port configurations.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.
Security Compliance & Best Practices
- Follow established change management procedures and internal security policies.
- Contribute to maintaining least-privilege access, application control, and overall security hygiene.
- Support the implementation of network and security best practices.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory records, and configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and Operations teams to support business initiatives and new deployments.
- Clearly document troubleshooting steps, findings, and resolutions.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, Security Engineering, or a related field; strong internship or hands-on lab experience may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with firewalls, preferably Palo Alto Networks.
- Experience with network switches, preferably Cisco.
- Ability to read and interpret monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 BPO environment, including occasional off-hours maintenance windows.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PAN-OS, Panorama, Cisco IOS, or Cisco NX-OS.
- Basic knowledge of application control, URL filtering, and enterprise security policies.
- Exposure to ITIL or formal change management processes.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, PCNSA, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
