ActalentservicesJob Title: JSE Mission Modeler Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled JSE Mission Modeler to design and develop realistic virtual training scenarios within the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced simulation and training programs for the Department of Defense, supporting next-generation military readiness initiatives. Responsibilities Design and develop realistic virtual training scenarios within the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). Build and integrate mission content including aircraft, threats, forces, and environmental conditions. Develop and maintain scenario scripts, mission configurations, and simulation controls. Collaborate with government customers, aircrew SMEs, and engineers to translate training requirements into executable scenarios. Support scenario testing, validation, and training events at government and contractor facilities. Maintain scalable scenario libraries, documentation, and compliance with JSE standards. Support multi-site training environments and secure operations. Travel periodically to government, contractor, and operational training locations. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in building military training scenarios, simulations, or synthetic training environments for the Department of Defense. Experience using military modeling and simulation tools such as AFSIM, JSAF, OneSAF, EADSIM, NGTS, or similar platforms. Familiarity with distributed simulation networks and protocols (HLA, DIS, TENA). Ability to integrate aircraft, weapons, sensors, and other simulated entities into a networked training system. Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Advanced degrees in a related field are a plus. Awareness of JSE (Joint Simulation Environment). Work Environment This position is 100% remote, ideally located in areas such as Dayton, Ohio; Orlando, Florida; or Virginia, with secondary locations including Dallas, Chicago, and St. Louis. Candidates will work extensively in Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environments for two years and will have occasional travel to cleared information sites at government installations or company locations. Remote access will be provided through a company-issued laptop. Active Secret Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
