Overview

At Lupa, we're hiring a Junior Account Operations Specialist to be the boots-on-the-ground presence for a fast-growing global retail brand expanding into the Mexican market. Based in Mexico City, this is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, globally recognized consumer products business right at the start of its journey in a brand-new market.

If you love being organized, enjoy working across systems and data, and get energized by walking store floors and seeing products come to life on shelves, this role puts you at the heart of a major retail partnership. You'll be the local eyes and ears that help the broader international team make smart, data-driven decisions as the business takes off.

This is a ground-floor role with real growth potential — as the business scales in the region, the team will grow with it.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of selected items, both in-store and online, for an active retail account in the Mexican market

  • Create and maintain product detail page (PDP) content — including images, item descriptions, keycodes and UPCs — in both Spanish and English

  • Enter and maintain cost dimensions, images, and other data in the customer's systems with a high degree of accuracy

  • Review and monitor inventory levels, support in-season markdowns, and coordinate with the supply team on replenishment

  • Conduct monthly competitive market visits — walking stores to observe product quality, note current retail pricing, and ensure the brand stays competitive

  • Drop off product samples with buyers and act as the local point of contact near the customer's office

  • Prepare monthly post-mortems on sales results and deliver ad hoc reporting as needed

  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team, using English as the common working language

Who You Are

Must-haves

• Fluent in Spanish and English — comfortable working day-to-day in English with a global team
• 1–3 years of experience, including hands-on retail or e-commerce experience
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy in data entry and content
• Based in or able to work on the ground in Mexico City, with willingness to make regular local market visits
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, plus tools like Dropbox and SharePoint
Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with ambiguity — this is a first-of-its-kind role in a new market, so grit and creativity matter

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with retail systems and item/content management workflows

  • Experience with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)

  • Prior exposure to vendor or retailer partnership environments

What's In It For You

• A ground-floor opportunity to be the first local team member supporting a major global retail brand's entry into Mexico — with a clear path for the team and role to grow
• Stable, compliant employment through an Employer of Record (EOR) model
• Exposure to international retail operations and a globally distributed team
• Variety in your week — a mix of systems and data work plus getting out into the market
• Compensation: competitive local market rate for a junior operations role in Mexico City
• Schedule / work model: remote-first with regular in-person local market and office visits in Mexico City. The position expects 40 hours per week, with flexible daily hours to accommodate calls with global teams across different time zones (such as China).
• Benefits: statutory Mexican benefits provided through the EOR healthcare
• Healthcare coverage: Private health insurance provided.
• Paid time off: 15 paid vacation days per year.
• Work-from-home allowance: Statutory monthly remote working allowance.
• Ergonomic equipment allowance: Mandatory allowance for an ergonomic chair and work setup.
• Annual bonuses: Performance- and company-based bonus paid out every September.
• Annual salary review: Annual salary increases evaluated every October.
• Work equipment: Company-provided laptop.
• Travel expenses: Coverage for any travel expenses required beyond the standard scope.
• Team building: Weekly online meetings.
