As our Junior Accountant, you'll help maintain the financial records and day-to-day accounting operations that allow our business to run smoothly. You'll work closely with our Head of Finance to keep transactions organized, reconciliations current, company records accurate, and compliance activities on track. Your work will create the strong operational foundation that supports Goodwin's continued growth. What You’ll Work On Record and categorize financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Organize and maintain accounting records, financial documentation, and company files Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help ensure accurate financial reporting Assist with Federal Excise Tax (FET) filings and payment preparation. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting activities Help prepare information needed for month-end close and other recurring accounting processes Maintain accurate records within QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial systems. Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as Goodwin continues to grow Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting Support month-end close activities and other operational accounting initiatives as the company grows How You’ll Know You’re Succeeding The Head of Finance never has to wonder whether the books are organized, transactions are recorded, or reconciliations are up to date. She knows you've got them handled accurately and consistently. Financial records stay organized, current, and reliable because you take pride in getting the details right the first time. Reconciliations don't pile up. You catch discrepancies early, investigate them thoroughly, and resolve them before they become larger issues. Month-end is smoother because you've kept the day-to-day accounting work organized instead of letting it accumulate. Your teammates know they can count on you to keep accounting operations moving. When someone needs documentation, answers, or support, you're responsive, organized, and dependable. As Goodwin grows, you help create better processes that make the finance team more efficient and scalable. What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1-3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or operational accounting experience. Experience working in a remote, fast-paced business environment where priorities shift quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. A proactive, results-driven mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Pay Range This position has an anticipated hourly pay rate of $25/hour
