Junior Accountant

Job Description Location: Philippines (Remote) Schedule: Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours Reports to: Senior Accountant Role Overview We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support a growing finance team on core accounting activities. Working closely with and reporting to a Senior Accountant, you'll take ownership of transactional accounting and month-end and quarter-end close support. This is a hands-on role suited to someone early in their career who's accurate, organized, and eager to grow within a finance function. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable (AP) in line with company policy, including invoice coding, verification, and payment preparation Support the month-end and quarter-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting Prepare journal entries in accordance with company policy Prepare month-end and quarter-end schedules, including PP&E, prepaids, accounts receivable (AR), and similar reconciliations Assist the Senior Accountant with ad-hoc tasks and analysis as needed Maintain organized, audit-ready records and supporting documentation Payment Processing Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–4 years of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate preferred Solid understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end and quarter-end close cycle Experience with AP processing and account reconciliations Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and strong Excel skills Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through Good written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with an onshore team Able to work PST hours and integrate into the client's daily workflow
