Let's build Pyyne together!
Are you interested in working on complex, high-impact data projects while actively contributing to the growth of an international tech consultancy? At Pyyne, you combine hands-on technical work with real influence over how the company evolves.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and work from Porto, collaborating with our team in Brazil, Argentina, the United States, and Sweden
About the Role:
Pyyne is seeking an AI Engineer with experience identifying opportunities to implement LLMs into business workflows. This is a high-impact role at Pyyne, as you will be one of the driving gears toward our clients’ AI implementation.
A successful candidate in this role will be comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders to map current business workflows and pain points into real AI-powered solutions. They will be responsible for every step of the process, from client discovery and business analysis to building and deploying the identified solution.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Deploy Automations: Develop and maintain reliable workflows using tools like n8n, Make, or custom Python scripts to connect disparate SaaS platforms and internal databases.
Integrate AI Capabilities: Connect modern LLM APIs into pipelines for tasks such as structured data extraction, document classification, summarization, and content transformation.
Support Discovery & Scoping: Shadow senior team members during client or stakeholder interviews, taking notes on current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and documenting technical requirements.
Prototype Proofs-of-Concept: Rapidly build lightweight prototypes to test whether an AI solution is technically viable and reliable before committing to full-scale development.
Must Have Skills:
0–2 years of practical experience building software or automations using Python (through professional experience, internships, or substantial open-source/personal projects).
Hands-on experience with LLM APIs: Practical exposure to prompting, temperature tuning, and structured outputs (e.g., JSON mode, function calling) using OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs.
API Fluency: Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhook lifecycle management, authentication methods (OAuth, API keys), and JSON data manipulation.
Workflow Automation Tools: Experience building multi-step automations in at least one platform.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to break a broad process down into discrete, sequential logic steps and debug pipeline failures independently.
Collaborative Communication: Comfort explaining technical implementation details clearly to peers and translating non-technical feedback into functional code.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with JavaScript OR Python OR Java OR .NET
Language:
