We are adding a Junior AI Implementation Specialist to our team to help us with a new project for a Berlin-based logistics provider. This client manages a massive amount of shipping data and warehouse documentation that currently requires significant manual effort to sort and process. In this role, you will help us use language models and automation scripts to categorize this data, pull specific information from invoices, and sync it directly into their existing database. This is a fully remote position where you will focus on building practical tools that save real people time every day.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use to keep their businesses running. We do not build flashy consumer apps, social networks, or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical work that companies need: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most developers try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling, messy spreadsheet with a real database or get different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, including the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain over the long term. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest industry trends.
The Role
In this role, you will be working on the plumbing of modern software. You will help us take AI models out of the experimental phase and plug them into real, working business systems. Most of your time will be spent cleaning up unstructured data from our logistics client, writing scripts to connect different APIs, and testing how well our prompts and filters are working in real-world scenarios. You will help us build the bridges between automated responses and the client's internal databases.
Working remotely, you will be responsible for managing your own tasks and documenting your progress clearly. You will spend time testing different ways to extract data and comparing the results to ensure accuracy. When you find a process that works, you will help us integrate it into the main codebase. Since we are a small team, you will see exactly how your code helps the client's warehouse managers and dispatchers do their jobs more efficiently.
What you bring
We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys the process of making things work. You do not need years of professional experience, but you should have a basic understanding of how to write code that others can read and maintain. You should be comfortable with the idea that not all work is high-profile. A lot of what we do involves fixing errors and making sure data moves correctly from one system to another. Specific qualities we look for include:
- A high level of curiosity about how software systems fit together.
- The ability to follow technical documentation to learn new tools independently.
- Good written communication skills for documentation and team updates.
- A patient approach to troubleshooting and testing code.
- Basic knowledge of how data is structured in databases or JSON files.
- An interest in using AI tools to solve boring, repetitive tasks.
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
Helpful background
While this is an entry-level role, it is helpful if you have some familiarity with the tools we use every day. If you have worked on personal projects or school assignments using the following, you will be able to contribute more quickly:
- Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience using GitHub or other version control systems to manage your code.
- A general understanding of how to call an API and handle the response.
- Familiarity with SQL or basic database concepts like tables and keys.
- Experience using AI chat tools to help write or debug small scripts.
- Previous experience in a remote setting or working on independent projects.
This is a paid position, and the compensation is competitive for someone starting their career in software implementation and development.
