Location: Remote; Sri Lanka
Hours: Full-time – 5:30am – 1:30pm, IST Colombo

We're looking for a Junior AI/Automation Engineer who is curious about technology, comfortable experimenting with new tools, and keen to turn ideas into working solutions. You don't need to be an expert in every platform, but you should have a good foundation in coding, an interest in AI-powered development, and the willingness to learn by building.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Junior AI/Automation Engineer, you'll help build, maintain, and improve business automations and lightweight internal applications. You'll work closely with the team to identify repetitive tasks, connect different platforms, and develop practical solutions that reduce manual work.

Your main responsibilities & experience:

• HubSpot & CRM Automations - Build and maintain HubSpot workflows to automate repetitive tasks, data updates, notifications, and follow-ups. Help improve CRM processes and ensure information flows accurately between systems.
• CRM Integrations & APIs - Assist with connecting HubSpot and other business applications using APIs, webhooks, and integration tools. Troubleshoot integration issues and help ensure data transfers reliably between platforms.
• Internal Tools Development - Build simple internal tools and lightweight web applications to streamline tasks such as data entry, record updates, and routine administrative processes. Use Python and basic frontend technologies to turn business requirements into working solutions.
• AI-Assisted Development: Use AI coding tools such as Claude and Claude Code to help develop, test, troubleshoot, and improve automations and internal applications. Explore practical ways AI can reduce manual work and improve business efficiency.
• Application Deployment & Maintenance: Assist with building and deploying internal tools using platforms such as Vercel and Supabase. Help maintain existing solutions, investigate issues, and make improvements as business needs evolve.
• Testing & Continuous Improvement: Test automations and integrations, identify errors, and ensure solutions work as intended. Document your work and look for opportunities to make existing workflows simpler, more reliable, and easier to maintain.

What your profile will look like:

Must Have

• Foundational coding skills: 2 -3 Years of basic to intermediate knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages, with an interest in developing practical business solutions.
• Automation mindset: An interest in automating repetitive tasks, improving workflows, and reducing manual data entry.
• API & integration fundamentals: A basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, or how different software applications communicate with one another.
• Problem-solving skills: The ability to break down problems, troubleshoot issues, and work towards practical solutions.
• Willingness to learn: A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies, experimenting with tools, and applying feedback.
• Attention to detail: The ability to test solutions carefully and ensure automations handle data accurately.
• Communication skills: Good written and verbal English, with the ability to understand requirements and communicate progress clearly.

Preferred:

• Experience creating workflows or automations in HubSpot or another CRM platform.
• Experience using Python scripts to automate data entry, data processing, or repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with Claude, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted coding tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or frontend development.
• Exposure to Vercel, Supabase, or similar application deployment and backend platforms.
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, or third-party integrations.
• Personal projects, prototypes, GitHub repositories, or other examples demonstrating your ability to build and improve technical solutions.
• You don't need hands-on experience with every tool listed. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation, a practical mindset, and the motivation to grow into the role.
