Role Description This full-time remote Junior Commodity Broker role focuses on supporting and developing trading and brokerage activities across multiple commodity sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and onboarding new buyers and sellers, gathering market intelligence, and monitoring commodity prices, spreads, and market trends. The role involves assisting with trade execution, preparing documentation, coordinating logistics with internal and external partners, and ensuring accurate and timely settlement. The Junior Commodity Broker will maintain detailed records of trades and client interactions, support risk management and hedging decisions, and communicate regularly with clients to understand their requirements and identify commercial opportunities. As this is a pure commission role, success depends on building and maintaining a strong book of business and delivering consistent value to clients. Qualifications
Knowledge of commodity markets and trading practices, with skills in Commodity Markets and Trading.
Understanding of risk management and price protection, with skills in Commodity Risk Management and Hedging.
Experience or strong interest in brokerage and client relationship management, with skills in Brokerage and negotiation.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make commercially sound recommendations.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust with global clients and counterparties.
Self-motivated and disciplined, comfortable working remotely and managing a commission-based income structure.
Basic understanding of international trade, logistics, and documentation; experience in commodities or finance is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience in sales or trading.
