Junior Controller

Owners of the German family businesses we work with want to see the same figures before each meeting, whether or not they work in the business themselves. We'd like a Junior Controller in Germany to put those owner reports together. It is a full-time position, remote from anywhere in Germany, with colleagues in Charlotte six hours behind.

Responsibilities you would hold

• Build monthly and quarterly reports for owners and boards from client accounting data
• Reconcile the reported figures with the general ledger
• Prepare distribution, dividend and budget scenarios for discussion
• Explain variances in short written notes
• Keep the reporting calendar and data requests on schedule

What you should already have

• A degree in business administration, finance or economics
• First experience in controlling, accounting or audit, internships included
• Excel: pivot tables, lookups and formulas across sheets
• Reading income statements and balance sheets
