About the Role

Are you an organized, detail-oriented finance talent looking to kickstart or advance your career within a global investment environment?

At TripleB, we are looking for a proactive Junior Controller to join our core team in Amsterdam-Zuid. This is a hands-on, operational role where you will take ownership of our daily financial operations while helping us improve reporting, strengthen financial controls, and make our processes more efficient.

You will work directly alongside our Finance Manager and CFO in an international investment environment, gaining exposure to private equity, real estate, and venture capital. Alongside the day-to-day financial operations, you will have the opportunity to identify inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and explore how automation and AI can streamline repetitive tasks.

Whether you are a motivated recent graduate or a Finance professional ready for the next step, this role offers a steep learning curve, a high level of responsibility, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one.

Your Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Accounting

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR), including invoice processing, payments, and credit control.
  • Execute daily bank reconciliations and manage cash entries.
  • Act as the key contact point for suppliers, advisors, and internal teams regarding invoicing and billing.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and ensure the smooth running of daily finance operations.

2. Financial Control, Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and file periodic VAT returns.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Help build clear financial overviews, analysis, and management reports.
  • Monitor the accuracy and consistency of financial data, identify discrepancies, and help strengthen internal controls proactively.
  • Maintain structured, compliant archiving of all financial documentation.

3. Process Optimization, Automation & AI

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, administrative processes, and internal controls.
  • Help implement AI and automation tools to make daily operations more efficient, accurate, and scalable while reducing repetitive manual work.

What You Bring

  • Background: Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Languages: Professional fluency in both English and Dutch, written & spoken.
  • Location: Able to work from our Amsterdam-Zuid office at least 3 days per week.
  • Mindset: Highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet with confidential data, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
  • Software: Basic to intermediate experience with modern accounting software (e.g., Exact Online, AFAS, or Twinfield, and Excel) is a strong plus. An interest in AI, automation, and digital tools is equally welcome.
  • Drive to Learn: Curious, proactive, and eager to develop your financial and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

  • Attractive Compensation: A competitive salary package aligned with your experience level, including a travel allowance and year-end bonus.
  • Flexibility: Work 32–40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and hybrid working possibilities.
  • Perks & Expenses: Laptop and phone, daily fresh office lunches, and regular team drinks.
  • Unrivalled Exposure: Direct insight into international private equity, real estate, and venture capital investments.
  • Fast Learning Curve: Work closely within a small team and develop a broad understanding of finance, reporting, and investments.
  • Growth & Impact: High autonomy in a close-knit, flat hierarchy where your ideas can translate into real improvements fast.
