Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

We’re Hiring: Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support our AWS Public Cloud security operations and cybersecurity enablement activities.

Working Model: 3 days remote and 2 days office-based in Lisbon.

What You’ll Do:

• Support day-to-day AWS security and configuration tasks.
• Monitor cloud environments and vulnerability management tools such as Wiz.
• Triage, track and follow up on security findings and remediation tickets in Jira.
• Support security requirements and collaborate with agile delivery teams.
• Promote security awareness and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements:

• Up to 1 year of practical experience in Public Cloud Operations, or an equivalent academic / certification background.
• Basic hands-on experience in AWS administration and configuration.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python); exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Basic knowledge of cyber security tools and concepts, including SAML and 2-factor authentication methods.
• Structured troubleshooting approach and a proactive attitude towards system and platform monitoring.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Effective English (C1) verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
• Action orientated. Should be able to persistently follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
• Mandatory to be located in Portugal
