Junior Data Analyst - CMBS

Learn more about us here: About DealX Employee Value Proposition Employee Handbook Marketing page for our products - https://credit.morningstar.com/ What a typical day looks like The Junior Data Analyst will gather, extract, transform and analyze complex products and financial data by working with cutting edge Technology and Tools. You'll have significant opportunities for professional growth within our talented analytics team. Our Data process consists of the following: Gathering of data - We automatically gather data from a variety of sources. Extracting of data - We extract data from any file format, including PDF. Transforming of data - We then clean, restructure, aggregate and classify the data. Quality Assurance - We perform automated and manual quality assurance steps. Analysing of data - We analyse and get insights into the data. Delivering of data - We deliver the data and insights via a website or feed. What you’ll do Scrutinising legal documents and identifying relevant information from Deal documents pertaining to CMBS & CRE CLO’s. Analysing complex product data. Mapping of monthly updates to system settings. Perform Quality Assurance checks. Launch and monitor processes quickly to deliver data rapidly. Setting up extraction rules on the system and monthly processing of data extraction. Review report integrity as per guidelines/format. Solving and answering clients’ queries via email & phone Call. Contact other companies to get more information when required. Checking revised reports and updating data as necessary. Monitoring overall system and data health and raising any concerns with developers. Suggest and implement process improvements/Process documentation. Identifying opportunities to improve data processing and providing practical solutions to automatize processes. Contribute and participate in Ad-Hoc projects. Has good numeracy skills (ideally with some level of financial or accounting experience). Analyses and interprets complex data sets relating to financial products. IT savvy and ability to work in an information systems environment. Quick learner, Strong analytical and problem-solving mind-set. Enthusiastic about new concepts and have a strong desire to strive for improvement. Ability to work independently and set priorities. A determination to process tasks according to pre-defined processes is essential. Excellent teamwork skills and work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to work under pressure & multi-task, using a team approach to solve problems when appropriate. Strong communication skills – Both Verbal & Written. High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. A basic knowledge of SQL, VBA & Power BI would be an advantage. Working Hours: Flexibility in terms of working hours - Work according to US trading hours during peak days. Qualifications: Degree in Finance/ Banking/ Business Intelligence/ Administration/Mathematics/Statistics or any other related field. At least 1 year of working experience. What’s in it for you?
