Junior Data Warehouse Developer

Our new Junior Data Warehouse Developer will be part of the data warehouse development team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an enterprise data warehouse to meet the group’s needs.

You would be part of the Mr Price Technology Advance team which looks after data analytics, reporting, data science and RPA across the group

• Assist the data warehouse development team to define the development low level tasks and the estimated timelines to complete.

• Develop data models as per the assigned low level development tasks

• Develop Unit test as per the assigned low level development tasks

• Participates in testing and validation of the data model throughout the various stages of the development process.

• Maintain documentation for technical aspects of data models or changes to inform data warehouse team and stakeholders (BI Analysts, project managers, end users etc.) of desired outcomes.

• Provides production support to solve immediate problems

• Optimisation, support and maintenance of the data warehouse environments

• Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
• 1-2 years’ experience in data warehousing or systems development in the below tech stack would be preferred:

  • Data warehouse modelling – Data vault 2.0, Snowflake schema

  • Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Experience in Snowflake data warehousing

  • Experience in Data Built Tool (DBT)

  • Troubleshooting
