Location: Nicosia, Cyprus (hybrid).

Role Purpose
You will take ownership of the accounting function for your assigned entities, ensuring the numbers are accurate, the processes are clean, and the month-end close runs smoothly. At NAGA, the finance function supports a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group, and the Accountant position plays a central role in keeping that engine running with precision. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual beginning a career in finance or bookkeeping who wishes to develop practical experience in transaction processing and reconciliation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role. Candidates at the outset of their finance careers are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with online payment platform dashboards is considered an advantage.
• Fast and highly accurate data entry, particularly when handling lengthy numerical information such as transaction IDs, amounts and dates.
• Ability to follow structured, repetitive, step-by-step procedures consistently and in line with established controls.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated business email accounts and online payment platforms on a daily basis to download and securely store financial statements.
• Accurately record newly retrieved transaction data in tracking spreadsheets and company databases.
• Review online payment summaries against internal records to match incoming and outgoing transactions.
• Perform high-volume routine reconciliations, identifying exact matches and escalating any discrepancies or missing documentation to senior team members.
• Monitor settlements received from various payment service providers.
• File all statements and reconciliation records in designated cloud storage folders in accordance with standardized naming conventions.
• Undertake additional tasks as reasonably assigned by management.
