Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Front-End Developer to join our remote team. This entry-level position supports the development, maintenance, and improvement of responsive websites and web-based applications.

The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enjoys solving problems, and is interested in creating clean, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences.

Previous professional development experience is not required. Candidates may demonstrate their skills through coursework, personal projects, coding bootcamps, internships, freelance work, or self-directed learning. Training, technical guidance, and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

  • Build and update responsive web pages and user interfaces.
  • Write clean and organized HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Convert approved designs or mockups into functional web pages.
  • Modify existing website components and layouts.
  • Assist with developing reusable front-end components.
  • Ensure pages display correctly across common screen sizes.
  • Follow established coding standards and development procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.

Website Maintenance

  • Update website content, layouts, links, forms, and interface elements.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving basic front-end issues.
  • Test changes before deployment.

Responsive Design & User Experience

  • Collaborate with designers and other team members on interface improvements.

Testing & Debugging

  • Test web pages across supported browsers and devices.
  • Identify basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript issues.
  • Troubleshoot layout and styling problems.
  • Use browser developer tools to investigate issues.
  • Document bugs and communicate findings clearly.
  • Verify fixes before tasks are marked complete.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior developers when necessary.

Development Workflow

  • Use Git or similar version-control tools for assigned development work.
  • Maintain organized project files and code.
  • Follow established development and deployment workflows.
  • Update task or project-management systems.
  • Track assigned development tasks and deadlines.
  • Review technical documentation and internal guidelines.
  • Participate in virtual development meetings and training sessions.

Team Collaboration

  • Work with developers, designers, project coordinators, and other team members.
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly.
  • Ask questions when technical requirements are unclear.
  • Receive and apply constructive feedback.
  • Participate in remote team discussions and project updates.
  • Maintain dependable communication during scheduled working hours.

Required Qualifications
