Junior Full Stack Developer

Location: Valencia, Spain (On-site or Hybrid/Remote with occasional visits to the office)
Contract Type: B2B Freelance (Hourly rate, monthly invoicing)

We are looking for motivated graduates and early-career tech talent eager to grow in the IT industry. You will join our SovOps engineering team on an international project supporting our client - a banking institution based in Valencia.

What We Are Looking For:

• Education & Experience Level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience.
• Core Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of core software engineering fundamentals (programming, debugging, testing, version control with Git).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Exposure to modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Basic knowledge of APIs, JSON payloads, databases, and overall web application development.
• Soft Skills & Mindset:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high drive to learn and receive coaching/mentorship.
  • Fluent English and great communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills, positive attitude, and a proactive mindset toward task delivery and risk reporting.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure Functions, Service Bus, APIM, Cosmos DB, Redis) and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Node.js, event-driven systems, or workflow automation.
  • Participation in hackathons, academic projects, or open-source contributions.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Development & Engineering: Assist senior team members in building cloud-native applications, front-end interfaces (Angular), backend services (Azure Functions), APIs, custom dashboards, and user components.
• Database & Integrations: Work with JSON structures, databases, and application data models while supporting Service Bus and API management integration tasks.
• Quality & CI/CD: Participate in unit testing, defect resolution, application release activities, and the maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and dev environments under senior supervision.
• Process & Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, technical documentation creation, hypercare support, and weekly status reporting—all while maintaining strict bank security guidelines.
