Show job description

The Fabulous goal is to help people all over the world master the art of behavior change and build healthy habits. Our Growth team brings together behavioral scientists and growth product managers. We apply behavioral insights to our product, our experiments and our growth work, which is still rare in health and wellness tech.

About the role

You'll design, build and ship monetization experiments across Fabulous: the web funnel (onboarding, paywall, checkout and upsells) and the app itself (in-app cross-sells). It is a hands-on product role. You take an idea to live variants, launch the test, read the result and decide what ships. You'll work closely with engineering, design, marketing and data science.

What you'll do

Web funnel experiments

  • Build paywall, checkout and onboarding variants (JSON config, HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and ship them through code review and CI.
  • Set up and launch A/B tests: allocation, targeting, and keeping clear of the tests already running.
  • Design and run tests on price points, intro offers and paywall design across the Web2App funnel.

In-app cross-sells

  • Own the in-app cross-sell surfaces: where offers appear, when, and to whom.
  • Grow exposure, conversion and the lifetime value that cross-sells add, without cannibalizing web upsells or hurting retention.
  • Run in-app experiments on placement, timing, offer and copy, and track cross-sell revenue per active user.

Analysis and decisions

  • Build dashboards, analyze experiment results, and write clear readouts that end in a recommendation.
  • Track the metrics that decide what ships: paid conversion, LTV, ARPU, and upsell and cross-sell attach rate.
  • Use acquisition data (paid ads and their creative themes) to match offers to the people who arrive.
  • Support willingness-to-pay segmentation, matching offers to users to grow LTV and ROAS.
  • Study competitors' onboarding and monetization flows and bring back ideas worth testing.

Projections and roadmap

  • Build LTV projections for new offers and for experiment results, so decisions rest on long-term value, not just first-week revenue.
  • Turn what each experiment teaches into the next bets on the monetization roadmap.
  • Maintain the roadmap and prune it regularly: add what the data points to, and drop what no longer earns its place.

How you'll work

  • Work with AI coding and analysis agents every day, and check their output before anything reaches production.
  • Write things down: experiment specs, launch notes and readouts that the team can act on asynchronously.

In your first 30 days

  • Launch at least three pricing, packaging or cross-sell experiments end to end.
  • Know the web funnel and the in-app cross-sell surfaces well enough to propose the next quarter's test plan.

You have

    • Hands-on experience in a consumer subscription app: paywalls, trials, renewals or pricing.
    • Comfort working hands-on with JSON, HTML/CSS and some JavaScript, often alongside AI agents. SQL is expected; Python is a plus.
    • A degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
    • A practical grasp of experiment statistics: sample size and minimum detectable effect, uneven arm sizes (SRM), peeking, diluted traffic, and the traps in reading segments.
    • The habit of checking what actually serves users (the live config, the real checkout) rather than a proxy, and of saying exactly what you did and didn't verify.
    • Clear written communication in English, at home in a remote, asynchronous team.
    • A passion for growth, metrics and an outstanding user experience.

What would be Fabulous

    • You've designed and run A/B tests before.
    • Experience in onboarding or conversion rate optimization (CRO).
    • Pricing research methods: Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger, conjoint.
    • Experience with in-app experimentation tools.
    • A background in data science or machine learning.
    • An interest in behavioral science.

About us

An award-winning health, wellness and coaching company that creates apps that rank in the top ten internationally. Our science-based approach sits squarely in the tech-for-good lane, helping people live their best lives. Everyone who joins is committed to using evidence-based research to find the best ways to change lives for the better.

Our history

Three co-founders created the Fabulous app: Sami, Amine and Taylor. Growing up in Tunisia, Sami and Amine were only 16 when they met. With their early iteration, they reached out to Taylor, an award-winning designer in Malaysia. Their vision was welcomed into an incubation lab for startups at Duke University led by Behavioral Economics Professor Dan Ariely. Our Chief Storyteller Jaz co-founded the Introductory Psychology program at Stanford University.

Our approach

We use a behavioral economics lens to help people find the “on switch” inside them and reach their full potential. What has emerged is a system that turns tiny habits into profound long-term change. A world in which people with ADHD thrive. A method for gratitude to reach through difficulty. A sanctuary to seek out your true purpose. A fountain of knowledge. A space for rest and self-compassion.

Our mission

Help every individual discover the wonderful person inside themselves by creating beautiful, evidence-based, life-changing products.

Our environment

We're a fully remote company, and it's common to feel you know your teammates better than people you once shared an office with. The environment is flexible and professionally nourishing. Team members enjoy in-house challenges and Slack events. Meetings are kept to a minimum and deep work is encouraged.

Our awards

  • Apple Best Apps of 2018
  • Editor's Choice in more than 30 countries
  • Winner of Google's Material Design Award
  • Best App Finalist in the Google Play Awards
  • Consistently in the top ten Health & Fitness apps across platforms
  • Backed by Facebook Startup Lab and Microsoft Ventures

Our norms

  • Ownership: be the CEO of your tasks. No one is watching over your shoulder. Be the proof.
  • Open communication: constructive ideas are always flying across time zones.
  • Deep work: disconnect, find your flow. It's about the work here.
  • Always offer context: sharing your rationale works wonders in asynchronous conversations.
  • Impeccable agreement: promise, then follow through. Everyone relies on everyone.
  • Egos are checked at the door: everyone who joins places themselves in service of our members.

Our values

#collaboration #craftsmanship #feedback #respect #responsibility #simplicity #speed

Our future

Over 30 million people have started their journey to better themselves with our apps. We're creating a generation of change-makers, each with the drive to help others in their own way.

Our invitation

At Fabulous, every team member is a sculptor in their own right. Together, we help millions of people step out of their block of stone and into the fullest version of their life through behavioral science. Tell us what drives you: if you were to pick up your tools, what would your contribution look like?
