Job Description:
What will you work on?
1. Strategic Account & Joint Business Planning
- Portfolio Ownership: Take full commercial responsibility for a designated portfolio of accounts (focusing on growth, sales targets, and relationship building).
- Listing & Category Management: Manage the product selection and listing process for your own accounts and support the team in securing optimal shelf space (online and offline) for our retailers.
2. Commercial Presentations & Marketing Collaboration
- Joint Presentations: Partner closely with Brand and Trade Marketing to prepare and deliver powerful product presentations, commercial proposals, and localized marketing plans.
- Brand Activation: Coordinate and execute sales-driven promotional plans and digital activations for your accounts to maximize Spin Master’s brand visibility.
3. Forecasting, Demand Planning & Data Analysis
- Demand Forecasting: Run the monthly forecasting process for your own accounts, and collaborate with the planning team to ensure stock is delivered as required.
- Data-driven Insights: Analyze weekly sell-through (POS) data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and proactively flags stock risks.
4. Budget & Profitability Management
- Financial Accountability: Manage and secure the profitability, margins, and revenue of your own account base.
- Budget Administration: Track customer-specific trade spend, promotional budgets, and ensure our CRM (Salesforce) and internal systems are continuously up to date.
5. Teamwork, Communication & Execution
- Cross-functional Alignment: Work proactively with Sales, Marketing, Planning, and Operations in Amsterdam to ensure top-tier execution and customer service.
- Solution-Oriented: Act as a proactive problem solver for customer challenges, contributing to our collaborative and energetic team culture.
3.0 Key Metrics
- Own Portfolio Revenue & Margin: Delivering on the financial targets (gross/net sales and profitability) of your assigned accounts.
- Execution & Support: Quality and timeliness of support delivered on the major key accounts.
- Forecast Accuracy: Reliability of stock forecasting for your own portfolio to minimize out-of-stocks.
- Listing & Distribution: Achieving agreed distribution and brand presence targets across your account base.
What are your skills and experience?
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience (e.g., as a junior account manager, sales support, category management) within FMCG, Consumer Electronics, or the Toy/Entertainment industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Languages:
- Dutch: Native/Fluent level (written and verbal) is highly preferred for Benelux retail relations.
- English: Fluent (written and verbal) is essential for internal communication and Nordics retail relations.
- French: Good working knowledge is considered a strong asset.
- Scandinavian languages: (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) are an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the drive to develop sharp negotiation techniques.
- A proactive, commercial "go-getter" mindset with a strong desire to learn and take ownership.
- Analytical and Detail-oriented: You love working with data (Excel) and are eager to translate numbers into commercial action plans.
- Good organizational skills: able to balance managing your own clients with supporting larger team projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with Salesforce or SAP is a plus, not a must.
- Valid Driving License and willingness to travel occasionally within the Benelux & Nordics regions.
