Are you a property lawyer who wants more than billable hours behind a screen? Are you looking to own a stake in a practice, not just work in one? Do you thrive on building relationships, getting out into the market and bringing in new business?
If that's you, keep reading. Pathway Property Law is a high-performance, business-focused environment where results are rewarded and ambition is backed. You'll lead a team, grow a practice and share in what you build, with the support of an established group behind you. We're after driven people who want to build something of their own.
About us
Pathway Property Law is a law practice and part of the Pathway Group, an ecosystem that also includes an buyer's agency for property investing and home-buying, as well as a finance brokerage.
The practice is led by Principal Lawyer Nirvan Jamshidpey, formerly a real estate lawyer at top-tier firm King & Wood Mallesons. Today we act for clients in-house across the Pathway Group. Next, we're opening the doors to external clients and expanding nationally, and we're looking for the person to lead that growth.
The role
This is a dual role for a lawyer who wants to build a business, not just work in one.
As Junior Partner, you'll own service delivery:
• Lead and supervise a team running residential conveyancing files from start to finish (buy-side and sell-side) using existing systems and processes
• Oversee contract reviews and client communication which will be performed by the support team
• Provide property law advice on more complex matters
• Oversee ILA certificates, SMSF / bare trust matters and off-the-plan contracts
• Uphold quality, compliance and an outstanding client experience
As Head of Growth, you'll build the practice:
• Grow our external client base beyond the Pathway Group
• Build long-term relationships with real estate agencies, brokers, accountants and other referral partners, drawing on the Pathway Group's existing network
• Drive cross-referrals across the Pathway Group's buyer's agency, home-buying and finance services
• Help lead the law practice's expansion into other states and commercial property law matters
• Get out of the office and into the market: networking, events, content and client engagement
About you
• Ideally 2-4+ years PQE in property law / conveyancing (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered)
• Experience in wills and estates is desirable but not essential
• A business development mindset: you enjoy sales, relationships and being out and about
• Comfortable supervising, delegating and managing a process rather than doing every task yourself
• Able to build rapport with people from a wide range of backgrounds
• Ambitious, driven and keen to become a business owner
What's on offer
• Real equity: a pathway to ownership in the practice, with terms negotiated from the start and tailored to your experience and performance
• Target first-year package of $120k-$150k when KPIs are met, with strong upside in tandem with the growth of the practice
• Sales and cross-referral incentives across the Pathway Group
• A supported team and established systems, so you can lead rather than be buried in admin
• Mentorship from a Principal Lawyer with top-tier real estate experience
• The chance to shape a growing practice and a broader ecosystem from the ground up
Location
We're based in Melbourne. We're open to exceptional candidates in other capital cities working remotely, with periodic travel to Melbourne for team, client and marketing engagements.
How to apply

Starting period: Early 2027
