Junior Software Engineer

Title: Junior Software Developer

Location: Barcelona, Spain | Hybrid

We’re working with a growing energy technology company in Barcelona looking to add a Software Developer to its team.

This is an opportunity for a developer with 2–4 years of professional experience who wants to apply their software skills within the energy sector, with exposure to areas such as battery storage, solar and energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software across a technology stack including Python, Rust, React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development.
• Work with PostgreSQL for application data and database requirements.
• Support the development and integration of APIs and data pipelines.
• Use Docker, Git and Make within the development environment.
• Collaborate with the wider team to develop and improve software solutions for the energy sector.

What we’re looking for

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Python and/or Rust.
• Exposure to React and TypeScript.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Solid foundations in Docker, Git and Make.
• Experience with APIs and data pipelines would be advantageous.
• Previous exposure to BESS, solar, energy markets or the wider energy sector would be a strong advantage.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
