Junior UI Engineer

We are looking for a Junior UI Engineer to support the technical realization of our commercial advisory work. Gulf Associates works with chief executives and sovereign entities on high-stakes investment decisions and partnership strategies. Our partner is a global financial entity, and much of our current focus involves creating clear, functional digital interfaces that help their leadership team visualize complex market data and counterparty relationships. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to senior-level decision support from any location while working closely with our partners.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain responsive user interface components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Convert design mockups and wireframes into clean, functional code that aligns with our internal design standards.
• Collaborate with our advisory team to build dashboards and visualization tools that reflect ground reality for our clients.
• Support the creation of interactive prototypes used during high-level negotiations and regulator conversations.
• Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital deliverables to ensure clarity for senior decision-makers.
• Test and debug interfaces across various browsers and devices to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Assist in the documentation of UI patterns and components to help scale our internal technical capabilities.
• Participate in brief technical reviews to refine code quality and improve the performance of our tools.

What you bring

• A strong understanding of web fundamentals, including modern CSS layouts and semantic HTML.
• Basic proficiency in JavaScript and an interest in learning how to build data-heavy interfaces.
• A disciplined approach to remote work, with the ability to manage your own schedule and meet project milestones.
• Commercial curiosity and a desire to understand the logic behind complex deals and investment strategies.
• Excellent attention to detail, specifically regarding typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to colleagues who may not have a coding background.
• A logical mindset for solving layout problems and improving the usability of digital tools.
• Academic or project-based experience that demonstrates your ability to build and deploy functional web pages.
