Junior UI Engineer

About the role
The Junior UI Engineer supports our work with a leading regional investment firm in Dubai by translating complex financial data into clear digital interfaces. This role exists to ensure that the tools we build for our clients are as logical and rigorous as the strategic advice we provide. You will help bridge the gap between high level corporate governance and the practical software used to manage portfolio clarity.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain clean, functional user interfaces for custom internal tools used by an investment firm in Dubai.
• Collaborate with our principals to understand the logic behind complex financial mandates and reflect that logic in the UI.
• Translate static wireframes and design concepts into responsive, accessible code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure all technical work meets our standards for clarity and performance.
• Iterate on existing tools based on direct feedback from the investment teams and family office representatives.
• Help document UI components and design systems to ensure consistency across different software projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting front end issues to maintain the reliability of our reporting platforms.
• Work within a remote development environment to ship updates that support real time decision making for our clients.

What We Are Looking For

• Fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript, even if gained through personal projects or university studies.
• A clear interest in how design choices affect the usability of financial and corporate software.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions without using jargon.
• A logical approach to problem solving and the willingness to ask questions when a mandate is complex.
• Capacity to manage your own schedule and tasks within a remote, distributed team setting.
• Attention to detail regarding alignment, spacing, and typography in digital interfaces.
