UI/UX Designer, Junior to Mid-Level

This is an initial three-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent, full-time role after MVP launch, depending on performance and business needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

ForU AI is building a platform that helps Indonesians understand financial products, starting with health and life insurance.

We’re looking for a designer to maintain our landing pages and improve our product interfaces. You’ll update layouts, improve the mobile experience, organise Figma files and build approved designs using visual website-building tools.

You should be comfortable using Figma and AI design tools in your daily work. We want someone who can explore ideas quickly, recognise what needs improvement and turn an initial concept into a polished, usable page.

The company will provide access and credits for approved AI tools.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Maintain and improve our landing pages

1. Update layouts, content sections, images, forms and calls to action as the product evolves.
2. Make sure pages work well on mobile, tablet and desktop.
3. Improve readability and navigation so visitors understand what we offer and what to do next.
4. Check published pages for broken links, inconsistent spacing, layout problems and other visible issues.

Design and maintain interfaces in Figma

1. Create and update screens, user flows and interactive prototypes.
2. Design forms, cards, navigation, dialogs, empty states and error messages.
3. Use consistent components, typography, spacing and colours across pages.
4. Keep Figma files organised so teammates can find, understand and reuse your work.

Build simple pages using visual tools

1. Turn approved designs into working pages using our chosen website builder.
2. Create responsive layouts and reusable page sections.
3. Work with Engineering on changes that require custom code, integrations or complex behaviour.
4. Check the finished pages against the designs and follow through on any fixes.

Use AI as part of your design process

1. Use AI features in Figma and other design, image-generation or prototyping tools to explore ideas and speed up routine work.
2. Refine generated layouts, assets and prototypes to fit the product and brand.
3. Check the results for usability, accuracy, accessibility and visual consistency.
4. Explain your design choices, including what you changed from the AI output and why.
5. Share useful tools and workflows with the team.

Work with Product, Marketing and Engineering

1. Turn briefs and feedback into clear design changes.
2. Ask questions when requirements are unclear and explain your decisions.
3. Prepare assets and handoffs that Engineering can work from.
4. Review implemented designs and track issues through to resolution.
5. Use customer feedback and available website data to suggest improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1. A portfolio of landing pages, websites or product interfaces. University assignments, personal projects, freelance work and internships all count.
2. Practical Figma skills, including auto layout, components, styles and clickable prototypes.
3. Experience using AI in your design process. You should be able to show an example and explain how you checked and improved the output.
4. Good visual design fundamentals, particularly layout, typography, spacing, colour and hierarchy.
5. An understanding of responsive design and basic usability. You can design readable pages, clear navigation and forms that are easy to complete.
6. Willingness to build and maintain pages using visual website-building tools.
7. Attention to detail. You check your work and follow a change through to the finished page.
8. Clear communication in Bahasa Indonesia and working English for collaboration, tools and documentation.
9. Openness to feedback and willingness to learn while working with a small team.

Fresh graduates and designers with early-career experience are welcome. We care more about the quality of your work, your judgement and your ability to learn than a particular degree or previous job title.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience publishing a website using a visual builder.

• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.

• Experience maintaining a component library or design system.

• Experience with usability testing, website analytics or improving forms.

• Basic illustration, image-editing or motion-design skills.

• Experience designing interfaces in Bahasa Indonesia or presenting complex information clearly.

You do not need to be a front-end engineer. Engineering will handle custom code and complex integrations.

WHAT THE FIRST THREE MONTHS SHOULD DELIVER

Your priorities will follow the MVP launch schedule. During the contract, you’ll be expected to:

• Learn the product, brand and existing design files.

• Establish a reliable process for updating and checking landing pages.

• Fix the most important mobile and desktop usability issues.

• Organise reusable components and page layouts.

• Deliver approved pages and interface updates.

• Document your work so the team can maintain it.
