Behavioral Health Practitioner (Hybrid) Location: Columbia, SC Schedule: Flexible Job Type: Part-Time or PRN Work Setting: Hybrid (In‑office + Remote) About the Position We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Practitioner to provide evidence‑based, person‑centered services to individuals participating in court‑involved or supervision‑based programs. This role blends clinical expertise with trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practices and offers flexibility in scheduling and work environment. Practitioners will conduct group sessions, individual therapy, and family sessions as part of a comprehensive treatment approach. What You’ll Do Evidence‑Based Treatment Deliver behavioral‑health interventions supported by current research. Tailor treatment to each client’s risks, needs, and presenting concerns. Integrate gender‑responsive, culturally responsive, and trauma‑informed practices. Use a person‑centered approach that considers trauma history and cultural values. Cognitive‑Behavioral Interventions Provide CBT‑based services including cognitive restructuring, skill‑building, modeling, role‑play, feedback, and problem‑solving training. Teach and reinforce pro‑social skills to support long‑term behavioral change. Apply CBT interventions to address dynamic risk factors identified through assessment tools. Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct ongoing assessments to determine treatment dosage and level of care. Refer clients for psychiatric evaluation when medication needs are indicated. Develop typed treatment plans and update them at least every 90 days. Prepare and submit typed transitional care plans as required. Compliance & Documentation Provide only those services authorized within program referral documents. Initiate services within required timeframes (e.g., within 10 business days of authorization). Document any approved exceptions and maintain complete, accurate client records. Service Delivery Expectations Facilitate group counseling sessions. Provide individual therapy tailored to client needs. Conduct family sessions to support client progress and stability. Participate in hybrid service delivery (remote + in‑person) based on client and program needs. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred. Appropriate licensure or certification (LPC, LISW, LMFT, etc.). Experience delivering CBT‑based interventions. Experience with justice‑involved or high‑risk populations preferred. Strong understanding of trauma‑informed care and cultural responsiveness. Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical decision‑making skills.
